he great part about the crew at 3 Brothers Racing is that they’re a one-stop shop. They sprung and valved the suspension for me and then helped us get it set up and tuned at the track. They bolted on a Yoshimura exhaust system as well as Pro Taper bars/grips/chain/sprocket to make a great-performing bike even better. The wheelset is from Dubya and included Ultra-Lite Talon hubs and DID rims—a sharp-looking and bulletproof setup. They then mounted Michelin Starcross 5 tires to the wheels to complete the package. The look was designed by Motocutz graphics, and Acerbis sent us plastic for the bike. An SDG Innovations custom seat cover finished the look, and they added Arc Memlon unbreakable levers and rotator clamps for durability and performance.

On the track, the changes we made took this machine from being really good to being a perfect fit. We didn’t bump horsepower numbers way up (it’s already plenty fast enough), and we didn’t pour a bunch of money into it either. The changes we made improved comfort, reliability, and performance where we wanted it. The characteristic of the motor didn’t change, but the sound was sharper and the pull through the middle and top was improved. The bars and grips were a better fit for me from stock, and the suspension felt like I could sign up and race it right away.
